Meet My Family! – I live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my wonderful husband, Adam, our two cats, Button and Abby, and our dog, Rocky!
The Knot & Weddings – I worked at the big wedding magazine, The Knot, helping couples find their wedding venues all across the country! It was one of my favorite jobs that I’ve had over my career. I booked 76 weddings in one month, making me the top booker on my entire team generating a potential revenue of $195,208 with a booking average of 5.5% (average bookings was ~3%). I consistently maintained an 80% higher-than-average client volume while continuing to provide excellent customer service. I won multiple team and division awards during my time with them.
The Messy Apron – I absolutely love baking. I have loved it my entire life. I own a company called The Messy Apron where I’ve taught classes on decorated sugar cookies, designed and created cookies for friends and family and have developed (and am hoping to sell) recipes!
Virtual Assistance
With my experience in the professional and wedding world, I have also been an executive assistant to many executives over the years. This has shown me that I enjoy taking the stress away from creatives as they build and grow their businesses! So, why not connect the two?! My experience in all types of industries and administrative world has set me up to know the best ways to support creatives in their day to day.
Virtual Planner
My journey into the beautiful world of weddings and events began as I worked as an assistant to the event planner at a country club (shout out to Kevin!) who taught me a lot of what I know today about wedding and event planning. I even called him after I graduated college and was running my first ceremony for tips! My experience continued as I worked at a sports and entertainment arena, a bakery, a hotel, The Knot (yes, the big wedding magazine!) and a few corporate event positions. I assisted countless couples in bringing their visions to life while working within these jobs. Being a part of such a joyous and significant chapter in people’s lives fueled my love for social event planning.
The Creation of The Little Things, LLC
The turning point in my career came during the meticulous planning of my own wedding. Yes, I was one of those wedding planner turned brides who had their entire wedding planned within a few months of getting engaged. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I realized how much I missed being deeply involved in the social planning world. This revelation led to the birth of The Little Things Weddings & Events, my own venture dedicated to assisting couples and clients in crafting unforgettable experiences.
Wedding Bestie
Understanding the emotional rollercoaster that event planning can be, I also came up with the idea of a “Wedding Bestie” as a unique and invaluable aspect of my services. Need an outside opinion?
